In Bangladesh, leave entitlements vary based on the type of establishment and the duration of employment. Here’s a detailed overview of leave entitlements for employees with more than one year of service:
Annual Leave Entitlements
General Establishments
- Shops, Commercial, Industrial Establishments, Factories, and Road Transport: Employees are entitled to one day of leave for every 18 days of work, which approximates to 20 days per year.
Tea Plantations
- Tea Plantation Workers: Employees are entitled to one day of leave for every 22 days of work.
Newspaper Workers
- Newspaper Workers: Employees are entitled to one day of leave for every 11 days of work.
Carrying Forward Unused Leave
