When and how is Form 16 issued in India?

Form 16 is an official certificate issued by employers in India that summarizes the total salary paid to an employee and the tax deducted at source (TDS) during the financial year. It is an essential document for filing income tax returns.


When Is Form 16 Issued?
At Horizons, Form 16 for the previous financial year is issued annually and sent electronically to the employee’s registered personal email address. This usually takes place between the last week of May and the first week of June of the current financial year.
