Transition to In-House Payroll Starting October 1, 2025

Effective October 1, 2025, Horizons will be enhancing our U.S. Employer of Record offering. This transition brings several improvements, including:

  • A new and improved benefits program for your employees
  • A change in payroll frequency from biweekly to semi-monthly
  • Payroll now fully managed in-house by our expert U.S. payroll team

What You Need to Know

Payroll Frequency Change

  • Final Biweekly Payroll: September 26, 2025 (covers Sept 8–21)
  • Transition Payroll: October 10, 2025 (covers Sept 22–30)
  • First Semi-Monthly Payroll: October 15, 2025 (covers Oct 1–15)
  • Second October Payroll: October 31, 2025 (covers Oct 16–31)


2026 Payroll Calendar



W-2 Forms

Employees will receive two W-2s for the 2025 tax year:

  • One from the previous provider (January–September)
  • One from New Horizons (October–December)

Benefits Transition

We’re introducing new benefits providers starting October 1, 2025.

 

Employment Contracts

No action is required. All existing U.S. employment contracts remain valid.

New Pay Slips

  • Pay statements will have a new look.
  • Employees will receive a welcome email with login instructions to the new payroll software.
  • Please ensure employees verify their personal and payroll information upon logging in.
